CompuMem: How to get there
From Amsterdam CS (the central train station), there are two options:
- Take Tram 1, 2, 5 or 11 to stop "Keizersgracht", and walk for about 5
minutes along the Keizersgracht (to the right, seen from the driving
direction of the tram, at the left side of the canal) to get to Felix
Meritis. (See map below)
- Take tram 13, 17 or 20 to stop "Westermarkt". From there it is a few
minutes walk (to the left, at right side of the the canal) to the Felix
Meritis Building at the Keizersgracht number 324. (See map below)
Or ask someone at the train station or on the street. Most people in The
Netherlands speak and understand English reasonably well. If you're not
coming from the trainstation, you can take one of the above mentioned trams
in the other direction (i.e., to the train station) or ask someone in your
hotel.
Map of A'dam and Felix Meritis:
Please note that this map is not accurate with respect to bridges.
There are a lot more bridges crossing the canals (e.g., there the two
bridges crossing the Keizersgracht to the left and right of Felix Meritis).
(The yellow blobs are metro-stations.)
As a last resort, if you're completely lost, ask directions to
"Leidseplein", take the "Leidsestraat" for about 300 meters, and turn left
at the Keizersgracht. After a 5 to 10 minutes walk, the Felix Meritis
building is at your left hand.
